I did complete discography A to Z for both The Beatles and Led Zeppelin a few years back. It's more than 4 discs, but it's an intersting and different way to hear the individual songs.

I'm Only Sleeping is decent but I want the end of the first disc to be exceptionally strong. Plus, 6 tracks from Revolver is enough considering I have only 5 from MMT.

This isn't just a "collection of my favorite songs in chronological order" kind of list, as sometimes I've changed the order a bit, and I've included some more tracks from the earlier period and omitted some good tracks from the later period (The White Album mostly), though even so, it feels like I went through the pre-Rubber Soul period too quickly :-k

For the early period, I think you're giving short shrift to A Hard Day's Night, especially. If I Fell, Can't Buy Me Love, Anytime at All, Things We Said Today, and I'll be Back are all winners in my book.

For the first two albums, I would include:

Don't Bother Me- (really underrated George Harrison song)
This Boy (B-side and Meet the Beatles track)

I don't remember what you included from Help! but I think you should consider You're Gonna Lose That Girl, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (already mentioned) I Need You, and I've Just Seen a Face. I also think the B-side Yes it Is deserves an honorable mention.

Revolver:
And Your Bird Can Sing and Here, There and Everywhere need to be included. That last one might seem like a light love song to you, but check out the chord progression some time. Got to Get you Into my Life should probably be in there too. Like that you included She Said, She Said. �'�

Too much Sgt Pepper. I would cut at least two songs.

Ditto for MMT. Cut Your Mother Should Know.... and Fool on the Hill is better. Only a Northern Song is kind of weak, but I agree with It's All Too Much. Did Hey Bulldog! make your list? Let me look at your list again... 🤔

No two Beatles fans would ever agree on this though. :lol:

For Hard Day's Night, I think I considered Can't Buy Me Love and I'll Be Back. I'll have to relisten to them.

None of those appeal to me that much, not even She Loves You.

Beatles for Sale: Nope.
Help: I considered Help and You're Gonna Lose That Girl, but I don't like them enough.
Revolver: I think there are enough Revolver songs. I did consider those two though. I dislike GTGYIML.
Sgt. Pepper: Maybe Lovely Rita and With a Little Help?
