Taken By Force - Scorpions

Everyone remembers the Scorpions for their 80s hits and songs like Rock You Like a Hurricane, but their 70s stuff is much better imo. Uli Jon Roth is one of the most underrated guitarists and was one of the original shredders.

I think the only two albums in my top 100 that satisfy this would be

Late of The Pier - Fantasy Black Channel
and
Golden Silvers - True Romance

However I don't really believe every music fan should hear them as I've got almost unanimously bad opinions whenever I've recommended them to friends.

...and based on your thoughts about hip-hop, I think you might want to try The Roots (Things Fall Apart, Phrenology, or How I Got Over for starters) - they may convert you.

It's rare that I actually get rid of an album. Thank You by Royal Trux was one that I did not keep. I remember it as being nothing but a drunken mess and very hard to listen to.
