I'm going to be lynched for these choices, but here goes:

The Great Gig in the Sky - Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd
Koka Kola - London Calling, The Clash
Horse Latitudes - Strange Days, The Doors
Five Years - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, David Bowie

Basically I don't feel that a certain song can ruin a whole album if it's terrible-but it usually hurts its consistency and it would be better if it wasn't even there in the first place.

...And The Gods Made Love-Electric Ladyland
Flying-Magical Mystery Tour
Scentless Apprentice-In Utero
The second half of Moonchild-In The Court Of The Crimson King
Back Door Man-The Doors
The title track of Kid A

Some of the "track picks" as the worst of some albums in the song ratings are really spot on (for example Lily, Rosemary & The Jack Of Hearts which seems like it goes on forever, the disposable Oh Daddy and the truly godawful Wild Honey Pie) but a few others not only do I enjoy them but I also think are among the best moments of the albums they are in (like Exit, the amazing May This Be love, Getting In Tune where Daltry shows again his undeniable vocal skills and, especially, From A Buick 6, how can anyone even dislike this!).

I kind of agree with you there. I think "Climbing Up the Walls" is the weakest song though, but the fact that "Karma Police" is a Beatles rip-off just ruins the atmosphere that represents alienation when you borrow a song that's familiar. If that makes any sense!

Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others and Meat is Murder, both of which are conclusions to great albums. It's not so much the quality of the songs that I have a problem with, it's the fact that they are TERRIBLE conclusions. What makes it even worse is that the songs before them (There Is A Light Never Goes Out and Barbarism Begins At Home) are so good and would have made great conclusions for the albums. I just usually turn the album off after those songs.

Regarding the people who have mentioned Fitter Happier, Treefingers and On The Run, I'm torn on those songs. As stand-alone songs, they are awful. Treefingers and On The Run are FAR too long. Fitter Happier has no structure to it at all, just really a collection of phrases that satirise advertising slogans. However, in context of the whole album experience, they work very well as interludes. Both Treefingers and Fitter Happier are halfway markers for the album.

I don't know, I think the singing is a bit annoying, but there's nothing bad with that instrumental section though. Not really a bad song, but there is so much better on that album!
