I also was thinking about covering an entire album, seeing as I can play most instruments in a standard rock band and have some recording equipment lying around and don't have enough original material to make my own yet. The only problem is my voice sucks ass.

I've actually wrote a couple songs. None of them are produced since I'm not in a band. But I want to see how they turn out.

Thanks, but more worried about the bass solo in Naked In The Rain for that album.

Doing this because these three bassists have really influenced me musically.
Flea blowing funk bass out of the water
Adam making powerful driving bass lines
Paul making beautiful melodic bass lines

I play bass and have dreamed up this goal...

I own this bass and know how to play most of the songs on the Joshua Tree. So I am going to learn the rest of the songs and play it straight through. This bass was used on most of the recordings:
