Hey guys, im a huge AC fan and absolutely adore all there albums. If youve only listened to Merriweather and its not your thing, I STRONGLY suggest you check out Feels, its one of my favoite albums and is just such an experience to listen to.

Spirit they've gone they've Vanished is the best Animal Collective I've heard, a entertaining, often emotionally jarring album.

However outside of that I think they take the typical surreal psych-pop formula in a rather obnoxious direction, and lot of their music just ends up being irritating to me.

Do I think eight of fifty albums on a chart makes for boring reading? Too fucking right.

I listen to music all the time and i can make a huge list of bands i love. And i definetly listen to all kinds of stuff. But for me AnCo is one level better than those other favorites of mine. (Cult of Luna, Interpol, Floyd, Radiohead, Deerhunter, Phil Elverum, Godspeed for example)
The variety is stunning.

Have you listened to anco that much?

Many of their fans maybe are. But i don't think that the band members are.

I could maybe done a more interesting chart. But i want it to be a honest ranking. I will not pretend that i think a album that i like less is better than a AC-album because i have lots of them. And their albums are very different to each other. Very diferent.

MPP is great!(3d on my chart)
But it's pretty uninteresting when most people haven't heard all their work. Otherwise Sung Tongs, Feels would have as much votes as MPP. And Spirit and Indian would have some votes.
