I liked it, didn't think it was outstanding though. It was however, better than Boomslang

Only heard it once whilst I have cleaning the house,seemed pretty good,gonna give it another listen later.

"The Messenger" is the debut solo album by Johnny Marr who, in case anyone didn't know, was the former guitarist with British indie legends The Smiths. The band broke up in 1987 and lead singer Morrissey released his debut solo album the following year. It's taken Johnny 26 years to finally get his out. So has it been worth the wait? Well, having just got my copy yesterday and played it six times already, I have to say yes as it's a cracking album and there won't be too many better albums out this year. Some great catchy tunes and as you'd expect the guitar work is exemplary. My favourite tracks so far are "New Town Velocity" and opening track "The Right Thing Right" though "Generate! Generate!" is also just so catchy!

Anyone else heard this yet? Well worth checking out. Album of the week for sure!
