Makes perfect sense, I like is this is, I have it on my chart, I don't like room on fire, I don't have it on my chart.

I really like One Way Trigger, but the rest of the album is kinda boring me. I haven't made it through the whole thing so far.

I really liked it actually. It's probably tied with First Impressions as my third favorite Strokes album, and I feel like it improved on Angles for sure. All The Time, One Way Trigger, Welcome To Japan, 80's Comedown Machine, 50/50, and Partners In Crime all felt like classics to me, and the other tracks were all fine. I'd say 85/100.

Will post reviews of each track as they come on.

Tap Out: Pretty good, nothing mind-blowing, but sufficient.
All the Time: I really hate the chorus, but I do like where he leads in with title lyrics
One Way Trigger: I fucking love this track, I wish the whole album had this sort of vibe
Welcome to Japan: Pretty dull, end of the track is slightly redeeming
80's Comedown Machine: Not bad, kind of pleasant
50/50: worst track on album thus far, bleh
Slow Animals: kind of pleasant, but kind of trite. certainly enjoyable upon a first listen.
Partners in Crime: ...got distracted during, no comment. didn't seem to incredible though, I guess.
Chances: I have a feeling that all of these tracks are going to age really badly, but they're fine for one listen.
Happy Ending: See above.
Call it Fate, Call it Karma: Dig this one, actually.

Overall, yeah, meh. 6/10. But I honestly can never tell on a first listen what I think of an album, so... we'll see. But I'm skeptical. I did like the production though lol, and the little noises in between tracks. fun stuff.

I actually really enjoyed it. I think we can all resign ourselves to the fact they will never release another "Is This It". Continuing down the road Angles started. Interesting to say the least.

Listened to it once all the way through. Though I did have it more in the background. I thought it was pretty good. Continues in the direction they went to with Angles. No "revolution" in sound, but it is distinguishable from their previous stuff.

Will have to listen to it again to give a rating, so far I'm thinking, better than First Impressions, and maybe I'll end up liking it as much as Angles. Not as good as their first two.

Everyone here knows that i'm a huge fan of the Strokes. Is this It ? is my favorite album of all times. Room on Fire is in my top 20, First impressions on Earth and Angles are in my top 100.
... but unfortunately this is already the biggest disappointment of the year ... i just wanna cry right now 😢
