And I was kinda expecting it to be nominated for the best video of the year. It was quite high on my list.
Now it's a shame about what the public made it become (basically it's synonymous with that "dance" now, + it's way overused), but don't act like such fucking hipsters about it. It's still fun.

I think it's best to ignore my Best Album votes. Starting Thursday I'm gone for two weeks for a conference in Serbia, so I don't know how much time I'll have to track down and listen to those 10 albums, even with the extra time. If that miracle occurs, I'll let you know.

Apologies. Well, they're the 2 biggest categories, they've always been compulsory since the first nominations of the first BEAMAs (last year). It's kind of a case of "you don't have to vote for anything else but at least vote for the overall albums and singles".

But I can still discount your album votes if you like. I'll probably still leave the voting open for a couple more weeks so if you still wnat to listen to them you've probably got time 😄

I think you missed my point.

The way you have it set up, if you rank one album in a category, you have to rank them all, ideally meaning that you have listened to all 5 (or 10) albums in question.

My question is why is voting for Best Album (and Song) of the year mandatory, but voting in any of the other categories is not. Since I don't have an informed opinion, I don't want to vote in the Best Album category, but the way the form is set up I cannot submit it until I do vote.

I've finished voting.

I don't understand why you're forcing us to vote for the last two categories, though. I haven't listened to a single nominated full album, and I don't have the time to listen to 5 from a particular category that I might enjoy, let alone listen to 10 that I most certainly won't enjoy. I'd rather take the time to listen to them at my own pace, when I can enjoy (perhaps) the music instead of feeling rushed about it.

That said, In order for my ballot to be counted I've ranked the albums for the last question based on the songs I listened to for the other categories, but it's probably best if you could just ignore my votes for Album of the Year. 😄

Regardless, thanks for putting this all together (and thanks to your helpers too).
