Jailbreak is sick, really great hard rock album that is generally under appreciated. When Frogger is the only person ragging on your 70's rock album you know you're doing something right.

Rock was once the oldschool "Go, Johnny. Go" style, but it somehow eveplved into psychedelic rock in the early 60's, and then into a combination of blues and rock in the music of Led Zeppelin, who then helped pave the way to hard rock and heavy metal. Then came grunge and alternative.

Adele is not rock. She's pop/soul.

I mean, I don't hate either band, but their sound isn't really too far off what was being released at the time, and at the time, well, the sound wasn't great.

I often use the term 'pop' in the wider sense. Rock falls under that umbrella.

Anyway, Jailbreak is a great album. There's something about Thin Lizzy I love, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Considering how many similar-sounding bands do absolutely nothing for me, they must be doing something right.

"Jailbreak" is one of the greatest hard rock records ever IMO! It's just killer from start to finish! If any of you wanna hear something off it that I think will blow your mind I recommend 3 super amazing tracks: The soulful super beautiful "Running back" is one of the most melodically beautiful songs, the classic rocker, which is likewise very r and b based and beautiful, "Romeo and the lonely girl" and finally, the masterpiece (IMO) is "Cowboy Song". That song has it all and it's epic and it has not 1 or 2 but 3(!!) amazing guitar solos!!!

Anyway, it is one of my top albums. It's on my chart and it ain't going anywhere anytime soon!!!

Phil Lynette also happens to be a superb songwriter and bassist and has one of the coolest rock voices ever!
