Best Zeppelin album, not too hard of a contest for me. But I do quite like this one.

Lady Gaga actually covered D'yer Mak'er before she was famous. I'm sure you can find it on youtube.

I prefer every other Zep album other than Coda over this one. For some reason it just never connected with me.

The Song Remains The Same, The Rain Song, and Over The Hills And Far Away is quite possibly my favorite opening 3 tracks on an album.

I'll never fully be able to describe my love for this band. Don't listen to them nearly as much anymore, simply because they were on constant repeat from when I was still in diapers through high school. But when I occasionally do go back and pore over their discography, it's still as good as ever.

It's a great album although i rank I-IV AND Physical Graffiti slightly ahead of it. The Crunge is pretty weak in comparison to the other tracks and although i like D'yer Maker it's not your typical Zep song and doesn't really sit well with the rest of the songs on the album. No Quarter rules tho

I usually find myself enjoying this album the most of their discography, though I've recently been really enjoying LZIV, so it's ahead at the moment.

I noticed a definite general change in the sounds if the guitars starting with Physical Graffiti. This album at Lear retained that heavier classic sound. Is it just me or does the guitar work sound thinner starting in Physical Graffiti?

My personal favorite tracks are The Ocean and D'yer Ma'ker. Sheryl Crow did a good cover of DM. I guess the original one is better, but I like to listen to the Crow version more because of excessive Zeppelin radio play for that song.

Only Zeppelin album from the first six that isn't on my overall chart. I still love it, but I think it's just not a perfect album. That being said, every time I listen to it, it gets better and better.

I must be honest here, I haven't heard this record for like a Decade. I remember my dad had a cassette tape of it and I remember thinking it was weak compared to IV and I and II and even III. Then I bought the complete box set and I still haven't ever relisten ed to it since. Same goes for Graffiti.

Now that I'm on this site and I see that all 6 of the first zeppelin albums are adored I'm like WTF?!? Is there something I missed all those years ago. So that's why tonight and tomorrow I have decided to relisten to HotH, Phydical Graffiti and III.

Yay! That's what these anniversaries do, give me an excuse to listen to records.
