I don't think your facts are completely correct. The Kink Kontroversy was released in the UK on 26 November 1965 and recorded 23–30 October 1965 in the UK. It was however released in the USA on 30 Mar, 1966!

Well I'll be god damned! That is right!

My bad, it's the 47th anniversary of this album... Kinda. Thanks for correcting me on that.

I just listened to the Song "This Is Hardcore" and yeah, it's great. I'm excited to get home and listen to these 2 Pulp records.
And then relisten to Rumours yet again, then maybe watch a movie, then Ambient 1 as I lay down to rest.

I love This Is Hardcore, I actually think I prefer it to Different Class. I think TV Movie and the title track are the standouts. Not heard The Kink Kontroversy yet.

I'll take a hard pass on both.

Wow, the Kinks may be my favorite band of all times, but this album is certainly on par with the first for the most mediocre element of their first nine albums.

Haven't listened to this Pulp album yet, but Different Class was excellent, so I'll probably give this one a listen soon.

This is Hardcore is a great, dark album that I haven't heard in years. But I remember it being pretty amazing!

So love the cover! 😄
