For me, ska music usually does the trick. Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, The Planet Smashers, Mad Caddies, etc. Lots of upbeat, fast paced songs. Also, Rage Against the Machine is good. And the Offspring.

These are the ones I find most useful:

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls
Iron Maiden - Hallowed by thy Name
The Strokes - Reptilia
Blur - Song 2

You know, I had "Anarchy in the U.K." on my workout playlist for a while and it just wasn't working out(no pun intended, seriously). I think Johnny Rotten's voice isn't really conducive to getting the blood flowing, for me.

After spending a half-hour in my Itunes library, I made a decent, 54-song workout playlist. Just a few awesome songs include:
*Weezer-We Are All on Drugs, No One Else, Hash Pipe, Why Bother
*Nirvana-Drain You
*Emerson, Lake and Palmer-Living Sin
*Alanis Morissette-Eight Easy Steps
*Miley Cyrus-Fly on the Wall (sorry, couldn't help it)
*Machinae Supremacy-Elite
*Tori Amos-Teenage Hustling
*Queen-Another One Bites the Dust
*Radiohead-Electioneering (I'm surprised nobody's brought this up yet)
*Franz Ferninand-Take Me Out
*Black Sabbath-Paranoid
*Five Iron Frenzy-Dogfood

Ah, I've only heard of Daft Punk and Tiesto from those, but both those would be great to exercise to so the rest must be as well! I'll check them all out. Thanks cartoken! 😄

I love you! I actually haven't listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, so I'll have to do that. Been listening to Search and Destroy loads over the past week, it's AMAZING when you're on a high. I actually had just added Ex Lion Tamer to my playlist, which is a weird coincidence you mentioned it. Everything here looks pretty good, I may just use this as my playlist! Thanks a lot Purple! 😁

I could never listen to 'Funeral' as exercise music! You're crazy. I have, however, listened to Search and Destroy by The Stooges and that song's a blast to work out to! But the rest of that album is pretty tame in comparison. I will try out the rest though! Thank you RainyWins!

I go for a 30 minute run most days and I find Arcade Fire "Funeral" is a good upbeat listen, also "Silent Alarm" by Bloc Party
Animal Collective - MPP
The Stooges - Raw Power
Interpol - Turn on The Bright Lights
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell
So I got an iPod after being mp3 player-less for two to three years. I'm also beginning to work out (well have been for the past six months) and found how great music is to work out to.

Currently, my exercise playlist consists of Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem, and Daft Punk. Anymore any of you can think of? I'm thinking about just buying a dance compilation disc.

Thanks a bunch! 😄
