eddie murphy used to be a lot funnier than he is now. now all his movies have no budged and are just kind of dumb.

haha yeah stephen colbert is one of the most articulate and quickest comedians. My favorite quote of his is when he had some religious person who said "god doesn't have an email that he checks every day--" and colbert interjected "so we're more advanced than god!?"

Chef isn't a comedian he is only a character on the TV show South Park.
He is played by Isaac Hayes, who is a very funny man.
I would also add Bernie Mac, who recently passed away, ironically his death was only days apart from Hayes.

Lenny Bruce is my all-time favourite. The Lenny Bruce Originals vol. 1 is a great place to start.

Bill Hicks is another favourite. My favourite Hicks album would have to be Rant in E-Minor.
