Absolutely. Most of the light from stars has not reached us yet. Additionally, there are many stars redshifting faster than the speed of light, so we may never see them.
Their must be finite amount of them. Also the distance between everything has to be taken into consideration. Many of the brightest objects in the sky are Galaxies and Black Holes as well. Although... I think what you are saying is every possible space in the night sky must hold a star. It is something interesting to think about then. I'll guess the answer has something to do with distance though.

Hmm. All you see is in the past. All sensory perception, in reality, because sound travels even slower than light and there's also a delay with smell, taste and touch. It could also be argued that there's a slight delay with thought processes (electrical currents in the brain take some time to travel around, as well as chemicals and other stuff). In practice none of this really matters, at close ranges the delays are insignificant, but it's still not a good thing to think about in bed.

I do grant you we "exist" in the present even if all of our perception and thought is delayed, but that depends on what "existing" means, and that would take too much time to discuss and derange the thread.

Jasonconfused wrote:

Also, how crazy is it that when we look at the night sky, we are sort of looking back in time. Some of those stars might not even be there anymore. What if millions of light years away, there is another planet with people and extremely powerful telescopes, and they are looking at Earth. They wouldn't see us. Right now, in this very moment, they could be seeing dinosaurs and shit.

This troubles me, actually. Not really because of the stars, but because everything we perceive is in the past. The screen you're watching right now is not the screen in the present, but the screen of a fraction of a nanosecond ago. Everything you see is a past version of everything. You could say we live in the past, literally.
