Wow, what an awkward situation. I voted for Mercury so obviously I would have liked to change the winner, but a result is a result. I can't change it now, it's too late. There are things that can't be done after a certain period of time if we want to keep the game fair, I'm sorry.

I think it's up to drakonium to decide if it matters. IMO it should matter, as the adjustment should've been done before when the match closed (unless it turns out the adjustment had been done).

As for how it happened, I usually pay more attention when I'm commenting than when I'm voting. Actually I often forget to vote after I post, because I want to check out all the threads that look interesting quickly. It's a bad habit, I know.

Very true. I agree that it seems hard to do, but Eggman's not the only one I've seen claim to accidentally vote for the wrong option in a thread. It may have been that he just did it kind of absent-mindedly. Either way, it doesn't matter. I don't think the outcome should be affected.

Obviously Eggman's vote can't change otherwise anyone can say they voted for the wrong guy and effectively change the result by three votes. I'm not saying Eggman did this, I very much doubt he did, but anyone else could and it's just tough luck for Eggman and Mercury really.

I mean, Eggman did post he accidentally voted for purple when the competition was taking place. If you did take that into account, then it doesn't matter, but if you didn't, then it could change the whole game.

I mean, not many people who have accidentally voted have had a vote where it could have changed the battle. That being said, meh. Personally, since Eggman did already previously state he accidentally voted for Purple, I say the match should go to mercury if you didn't already take it into account.

With that being said, if Eggman had never brought it up previously (which he did), then I would say don't change, but since he did, then the vote definitely belongs to Mercury, if, of course, you didn't already take the necessary measures previously.

EDIT: That being said, it's just my opinion.
