Hmm.. that's interesting. I'm not in the market for a new pair of headphones at the moment, but when my pair are in a state of disrepair I'll be sure to check out Philips and maybe some other brands who I wouldn't have thought made good headphones. My current (Bose) pair were kind of a spur of the moment buy, and I haven't had a problem with them yet, but next round I'll definitely shop around (since now I'm more knowledgeable about music as well as the physics and electronics involved in the process behind music listening). Thanks for the suggestion.

Yours seem pretty good, and they're currently cheaper (on Amazon) than the ones I recommended. I've never had a pair of Philips headphones, but I've been disappointed in other Philips electronics (CD player/radio, television). I haven't bought any Philips products since in a while though. I've only ever had this one pair of headphones by Bose, so I can't speak for Bose as a company overall.

Once you hear it, yes, there's a huge difference. But once you actually sit down and listen to an album(in good audio quality) with good headphones, you can never go back. I seriously can't even listen to a song on apple earbuds, they just sound so flat to me, I feel like im missing half the song.

Yeah definitely try them, the isolation is basically what's described in the video, flawless. Yeah I can't recommend them more, I got them last Christmas, and have been using them ever since.

This, to a certain extent. I have the same ones, and I've been using them for two or three years now, and they still work perfectly. I put them in my schoolbag everyday, which often lays on the ground, is kicked, I dropped them hundreds of times, and apart from a few parts where the leather has gone, they have no problem. The sound is good too. That said, for a great sonic experience (at home, for example), they're not exceptionnal. I mean, they are great for an everyday use, etc, but I don't think they offer the best technically speaking.

Would love some great studio-style headphones, and I guess since my poor ass is dreaming I would also like a pony. But no, you can legit get a great pair of studio-quality headphones for under a 100 bucks, just don't jump at the first pair you see.
