Okay, embarrassing story:

The first time I got drunk, my friend asked me to explain to her why this was such a good album. Happy to oblige, my girlfriend and I turned it on while giving our friend a ride home. While I was about to give her a song-by-song analysis explaining the significance of the Anne Frank allusions and sexual imagery, once "The King of Carrot Flowers, Pt. 1" started playing, Jeff's voice just hit me like a brick wall and I started bawling. Already being quite familiar with the lyrics, this experience showed me the amazing amount of emotion packed in his wails. I spent the rest of the evening crying, laughing at the fact I was crying, and explaining to my friend how incredible the lyrics were on this album. For weeks after, I would start to tear a little bit when I heard this album.

So while I hold a lot of albums up as 10/10 classics, this one in particular goes above and beyond for me. This may change, but if it does, it will be quite a while.
