Bob Dylan, easily. I can't remember how many albums he's released, but it's more than 30, and at least half of them ranges from brilliant to good, no other favourites of mine can even get close to that number.

Of artists with over 30 albums, my favourite is Bob Dylan. However, I don't see him as being overly prolific. He's released like one studio album every 18-24 months in his career, which seems about average. I'm tempted to say Sizzla, the reggae artist who has released 70 albums since 1995. Much of his output is shite, but when he sticks to doing conscious stuff he rarely gets it wrong. My favourite albums of his are Black Woman & Child, Waterhouse Redemption and Da Real Thing, in case anybody wants to check them out. But many of them are brilliant.

If you can't collaborative albums, then definitely Brian Eno.

My favorite album of his is either Another Green World or Here Come the Warm Jets. I like the former because of its cohesive vision of "another green world" and its general ethereal quality. I like the latter because every song is melodically flawless and a lot of fun, if a bit disjointed.

If collaborative albums don't count, then it'd have to be Neil Young.

My favorite album of his is definitely After the Gold Rush. His voice is so tender and the melodies so sweet. Plus, his commentary isn't too shabby, either.

I have been a fan of country singer Tanya Tucker since 1991 and she has just over 30 albums. I love her voice and to me she has picked plenty of awesome songs to sing. 😄 😄 😄

I absolutely love bands with massive discographies.

Favorite prolific would have to be sun city girls. I have yet been disappointed by one of their albums and their discography is varied enough that it has yet to get boring.

Lil b, merzbow and djsharpnel get honorable mentions.

I got between Bob Dylan and Chico Buarque, two of my favourite lyricists

For Dylan, I think my favourites are The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan and The Times They Are A-Changin'. I mean, I love so many albums from him, but these early ones, with simpler songs, and many of my favourite lyrics, just grab me in a higher way the others do.

For Chico Buarque, my current favourite album is Meus Caros Amigos. Here he's not much into making political songs, so some of his most beautiful lyrics are on it. Plus, the melodies are at the finest of his carreer.

Heh. Harkan only needs 8 more releases to qualify. He's done 22 releases in less than half a year.

I'd have to go with Sun Ra. Haven't listened even close to a fifth of everything he's done, but what I've listened is all amazing, very refreshing.

Probably Frank Zappa. Wikipedia has his official album count at 94, 30+ of them being posthumous releases. He's fucked with just about every genre. My favorite albums by him are Freak Out! and Hot Rats.

Freak Out! is one of the most influential albums in psychedelic rock and I guess rock in general. Pushed so many boundaries.

Hot Rats is just great jazz fusion kind of stuff. I always felt it was the album that Frank Zappa really wanted to make since his main focus was on the music rather than lyrics. Plus it features Captain Beefheart 😎
