Haha, I used to play that song all the time organ-style when I was around 8-10 years old, thanks to my sister co-starring in a "The Aristocats" play, I loved it. 😄 I saw the show over and over, so no wonder the song stuck like glue. The original was a bit different, however, something I discovered when I finally watched the movie many years later, hehe.

My favourite Disney song is almost everything from The Lion King. Both the songs proper and the classical parts kicks my ass (for the most part). Otherwise, Aladdin's "A Whole New World", and the "Beauty and the Beast" title track also do it for me. I probably love more songs, but it's hard to reminisce in too much detail when Judas Priest keeps attacking my ears. 😁

Disney is what made me discover music, literally, so I have a soft spot for any song labelled Disney forever, I guess. And of all the songs, the one which opened my eyes is the one form the OP. Such an amazing piece of music. To be honest there are far too many I love to post them here, but here are my favorite who hasn't been mentionned yet.

I don't love all the songs from Aladdin (the one when he sings about the fact that he's a robber is awful) but this one is a legend :

I don't know about the English version, but in France there are two versions of the Little Mermaid : one with the mythic singer Henri Salvador as the crab, which is the original, and another with some ohter guy. The original one is like miles and miles better than the other.

Here, you can choose my response:

A) Part of me can't believe you're an actual forum member.
B) Would you rather I make a Cher thread?
C) You are quite frankly the last person here who should be making comments like this.

wtf? You might wanna actually understand his sentiment, if he actual responded to the thread's question, what made you think he meant it in that way? Not to say he didn't, but this seems like too much of a hostile reaction for a statement that could be interpreted either way.

Next thing, Jman has improved a lot, he's fine as is, perhaps a few quirks, but everyone has those. Why hold the past against people?

Also, I see nothing wrong with a Cher thread, at least compared to the millions of other threads that relate to bands.

Call me crazy but I don't look for heavy in Disney music.

"Be Prepared" from The Lion King and "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from Mulan are my favorite sing-a-longs, but I think my actual favorite song from a Disney movie is "Under The Stars", an instrumental, part of Hans Zimmer's score for The Lion King. In the movie, it plays from around the time Rafiki hits Simba with the stick through Simba running through the pride lands back to pride rock.

The original post certainly calls out my favorite Disney movie song.

But for the sake of adding to the mix I will toss in this sappy, guilty pleasure song from the Hercules movie:
"I Won't Say (I'm in Love)"
