Just a heads up, I will be going out of town this week. I believe I will have Internet connection, so I will try to keep up with updating the matchups, but I may get behind.

I just heard Lorde's debut album Pure Heroine, released on September 27 (six days ago). It's amazing. First brand new album to go into my 100. Given that it came out after the tournament actually started, is there any way to shoehorn it into the tournament? I'd be willing to trade it for The Cranberries' debut (Everybody Else Is Doing It, Why Can't We?), which I nominated and has not come up yet.

'Royals' is the best single of 2013 so far, released a couple months before the album. The question was, would this be Royals and nine other songs, or a great album that, as a bonus, includes Royals? Answer: great album! Each song dazzles as Lorde's signature self-harmonies wash over you. Fantastic debut.
