Appetite is a Top 50 album in the charts. There are some of us around here that like it.

From what I know, there are mostly people who hate the new GNR, but the old stuff is fine. I can hardly stand the vocals on UYI2, but people here know Appetite has good stuff. Anyway, the Erykah Badu album made it to number 220 of the 273 albums I've heard, and is number 48 on my 90's chart.

Hm ... not a huge fan of either of these. Still has to go to Modern Lovers, much better album, I think.

Not a big fan of either, but I voted guns n roses because welcome to the jungle is a cool song and Modern Lovers just all blended together into samey uninteresting mush.

Liking The Modern Lovers a lot more the second time around. "I'm Straight" is enough to elevate it over AFD for me.

OK, my vote goes to GNR. I'm halfway through this album that sound like a poor mix of The Doors and Ramones. I do not like the lead vocalist one bit, and the tunes are too slow. It surprises me that the highest selling debut album of all time is losing to TMV. Well, sales don't equal acclaim, do they? But AFD is also obviously losing because of the lack of heavy metal fans, just like the album "Holy Diver."

Still, there is a lack. I'll admit the first two tracks and Modern World are good, but the rest are boring and I can't stand "Girl Friend."

I was a bit disappointed with The Modern Lovers to be honest.. Then again I was never a huge fan of Appetite either outside a couple of tracks. Need to hear again I guess...

I haven't listened to Modern Lovers yet. I'll do it when I get back, but Appetite's my number 5 album and it'll take some work for me to find that album as good as my numero sinco.

EDIT: Listening to it now, and so far I don't like the lead singer's voice. The lyrics for the first track are pretty good.
