🤔 Filth is an ok record. I prefer Swans later work much more though. And I'm not a fan of Led Zeppelin's first album at all...

I vote LZ I. I really like their debut. It's pretty raw and features some amazing blues. Like really great blues playing. Communication Breakdown, You Shook Me, Dazed and Confused are all excellent. Some of it is pretty average. But it's still a pretty excellent lil album.

Is it the apex of blues rock? Or the pinnacle? No, no IMO. Maybe some Hendrix is or maybe some White Stripes, or perhaps "John Mayal and the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton" - although that's relatively straight forward blues.

For me in terms of Led Zep albums it goes IV>I>II>>>HotH>III.

And as for "Filth" I will give it another try someday. Sounded great . And yet got really hard to endure after 15 min. I will revisit, I promise.
