Whose bashing? My father had Kenny Rogers Gold on 8-track so I had plenty of exposure as a youngster (before the 8-track player in his Zenith Console set broke down). Quite a number of songs by him I like - just haven't listened to any in about 25 years...

That 8-track player is also how I got exposed to Dion and the Belmonts, for what it's worth. Luckily, he had American Grafitti, The Platters Greatest Hits, two Peter, Paul, and Mary albums and Meet The Beatles on vinyl - the record player worked longer than the 8-track, plus I got my own when I was 10. Again, though, I haven't had a working one in about 15 years and so can't listen to my Monkees albums nor the vinyl versions of Vitalogy and KISS My Ass that I have. Actually, I still have Meet the Beatles, too - luckily, since my father lost the rest when he moved.

Here are the ones that come to mind:
*Tori Amos: Probably the most underrated singer ever. Her mix of British and Southern accents merge together to make some amazing vocals.
*Thom Yorke: Need I say more?
*Geddy Lee: I know that a lot of people hate him, but I personally think that his vocals in the seventies were incredibly pro.
*Ozzy Osbourne: Come on, guys. You know you like his role in Black Sabbath 😁
*Amy Lee: She's hawt :O
*Michael Jackson: Once again, no explanation necessary.

You can't go wrong with....WILLIE NELSON. Not a beautiful voice in any traditional sense, but he always manages to hit the right note and tone. Any sappy song by any sappy singer where they bring Willie in for a duet partner is instantly lifted more than a couple notches. Hear it on:

Beer for My Horses (with Toby Keith)
The Wurlitzer Price (with Waylon Jennings or Norah Jones)

Other notable singers not yet mentioned:
Waylon Jennings (deep and beautiful rugged tone)
Norah Jones (if anyone has a sexy voice)

I'll include bands since most people don't like the music I listen to and doubtless don't know half these singers;)

Rob Dickinson - Catherine Wheel (and cousin of Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson) strong singer, not great range, but good interpretation and great sound
Mike Edwards - Jesus Jones raspy, accented voice just has real appeal for me
Grant Lee Phillips - Grant Lee Buffalo, very strong voice, slight mid-western style twang perfect for the Americana genre in which he sings
Dave Gahan - Depeche Mode, throaty sensual voice and very strong, incredible interpretation on songs
Martin Gore - the other Depeche Mode singer, more gentle, sensitive voice, better range than Gahan

There's plenty of others, but I don't feel like another overly long post.

MMM... Okay after talking to bananabrother yes bob dylan does have a lot of emotion in his voice, and I could see you having him as a great singer. So he's not my favorite singer ever. Oh well.

I honestly don't think bob dylan is all that great of a singer. He is probably the greatest songwriter ever and one of my favorite artists, but, as recognizable as his voice is, it's not his strength.
How come no one mentions Freddy Mercury? You gotta love him.
Bruce Springsteen is also really good.
