This might not be everyone's favorite, but I still find it remarkable that Dave Grohl recorded all of the instruments on the Foo Fighters debut. Another example of this is some the later Sly and the Family Stone recordings, although they were not exclusively recorded by Sly Stone, it comes pretty close.
µ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas) - Lunatic Harness
moody mann - silent introduction
aphex twin - selected ambient works 85-92
Derrick May - Innovator
moby - moby
bjork - debut

Debut was a decent album, but you must remember that Bjork just did the singing - Nellee Hooper did the electronic mixing - Indeed, I seem to recall a number of reviews when the album came out saying Bjork's vocal stylings got drowned out quite a bit by the electronica. So it really depends on your interpretation of albums "by just one person" - I thought the topic was meant to refer to a single singer/musician composing all the songs, playing all the instruments, and singing all the vocals.

Otherwise, I'd put forth Matthew Sweet's best three albums, Girlfriend, Altered Beast, and the Japanese-only release Kimi-ga-Suki. All phenomenal.

Eighty procent of the text on this site gives you 20 procent of useful information and 20 procent of the text on this site gives you 80 procent of the information you want 😉
Maybe you're right, I hoped to do some new discoveries.
I don't see why this thread is pointless. I just love the idea of one person giving the same intension (or even more) on a piece of music or an entire album than one complete band.
For me this are the great artists.

So please Johnny, reconsider and give me and all the other BestEverAlbums-visitors some great additions.
