I'm now listening to the animalcollective album and it's pretty good. A nice discovery for me. But for now, I'm gonna vote on KC.

Listened again. It was actually pretty good. Classic prog. Moonchild was a bit dull. Tracks 1,2 and 5 I really like. Epitaph goes on a bit too long for my liking but all in all a great album.

I hardly remember the album, except that it was mostly instrumentals that were lengthened more than a stretched colon. Boring, but not bad. It's a more talented album that STG as I've already pointed out according to my chart, but to the contrary I think Animal Collective would be more "my thing" than King Crimson if I gave it a second listen. I don't really have time to try the albums again this week as I'm trying to get through at least 10 more 50's albums by the end of this week and I'm making room for some 60's albums I haven't heard yet.

EDIT: I must have been really bored with the album.

Anyways, King Crimson has been on my chart forever, and is an incredible record, but it comes nowhere close to STGSTV. Spirit feels so nostalgic, yet remains to keep my attention from each listen. Avey's lyrics are incredible, and Panda's drumming is insane(Like seriously, where is this on their other albums?). It's a fucking phenomenal record.

Christ this is depressing. Always really enjoyed In The Court Of The Crimson King, but Spirit is my second favorite album of all time and one of the most beautiful albums ever made. As Loveless said, it's the perfect embodiment of growing up and the loss of innocence. Plus, it is truly an album which has no sonic equivalent to me. I've never heard anything quite like Spirit aside from the album itself, and I doubt I'll ever hear anything like it. The hushed and fragile production, the interplay of harsh noise with beautiful piano, the frantic yet subdued percussion, it's really an otherworldly album. April And The Phantom is one of the best songs I've ever heard and probably in my top ten of all songs, but I don't even know if I can choose it over Alvin Row, which probably gets my vote for best closing track of all time. Spirit is the perfect mix of song form that Anco would find later on with Strawberry Jam and Feels with the experimentation of their other albums, and I can't imagine my life without it. At any rate, I hope a couple people gave it a listen and appreciated it because of this tournament, the result here is heartbreaking though.

My luck though, right? Drawing VU&N and King Crimson in the first round, I call rigging, Sweden hates me. ;_;
