If I can be unnecessarily flippant, the one was too much candy, not enough psycho, while the other was too much modern, not enough lover.

I think I liked the Modern Lovers better, though.

This looks like it's going to be closer than I thought. Psychocandy (which I always thought was Psycho Candy) wins this by a landslide for me. Modern Lovers is good. Just not GREAT.
