Red Roses For Me. Brown Sugar is alright, Red Roses is good. Neither are great, and I expect either would lose my vote next round, but for now, Red Roses is the better album.

I love the Pogues with all my heart but they got so much better after this record, although it's a fine record on it's own right. Brown Sugar, on the other hand, is as timeless and divine as modern soul gets

Brown Sugar is actually a really good album 😄 Not as good as Voodoo, but still really good. It gets my vote.

Red Roses For Me is an ok album 😕 But it isn't really my thing to start with.

With so many matchups of albums I really love, this one just seems weak. Pogues did much better later on. Brown Sugar is good but not an all time favorite of mine.

My vote goes to Brown Sugar

Both artists are great. Both are artists I'd like to get into again . Both albums will need to be relistened to.

I'm not expecting Red Roses For Me to win, but if it gets a few more people into The Pogues I'll be happy.
For anyone who enjoys it and hasn't heard other Pogues albums, I recommend If I Should Fall From Grace With God and Rum, Sodomy & The Lash, both are even better than this! 😄
