I think that no matter the selling method, it all comes down to the content of the album. And this album is brilliant.

One of the worst albums I've ever heard. The first 2 tracks are an absolute abomination.

In my oppinion, I have to say that In Rainbows is my favorite Radiohead album and one of their best (Ok Computer is close). Being a very big Radiohead fan, I observed that they took all that they learned from their previous albums and put it in In Rainbows (adding new stuff also on the way).

Some people say its their most accessible...Ok maybe, but the real fans will discover that In Rainbows is so much more than just accessible, it has an infinite depth. I listened to In Rainbows songs between 60 and 85 times and I know I haven't finnished increasing my appriciation for the album.

I just bought the album last night and I think the first thing i noticed about it is how much more upbeat it is than previous works (OK Computer and The Bends)

Frankly, i think this shows how they have matured as musicians, not that their other works are bad, but as whole this is probably their most solid album.

I think if any work proves that they are separate from the pack it is this one because while Coldplay has changed very little with each release In Rainbows is completely different and is still excellent

Hail To The Thief is the best, most innovative, most even piece of musical art that I heard (excluding The Eraser - which is over the top)...
It's made me VERY disappointed at first but I gave it second chance after around half a year break... and after few weeks of listening it was still growing, still not fully discovered... it's by far the best that Radiohead gave to the world...
and I'm their biggest fan since Kid A so I guess I'm more the "experimental- stage-of-the-band" fan...
In Rainbows is really good - better than the Bends no doubt about it...
and I bought collector's edition...

I never even heard of Radiohead before I read about In Rainbow's pick-your-own-price deal.

(Coincidentally, I also listened to really crappy, pop music at that time)

I kept on reading articles about it in newspapers, magazines, and online news so I decided to get it (for free) to see what all the hype was about. I also expected Radiohead to be some hardcore metal band so I was really, really, really surprised by what I heard in In Rainbows. It was unlike anything I heard before and it ultimately got me into listening to "good" music instead of today's (mostly) crappy music.

In Rainbows is definitely one of Radiohead's best albums though.

I would rank it third best Radiohead album, behind OK Computer and The Bends, and tied with Kid A. High points of the album are "Jigsaw Falling into Place", "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi", and "House of Cards". I'm worried that the pick-your-own price thing and especially the "Nude" remix contest might be misconstrued as sales gimmicks, turning away prospective new fans. Still, high-quality material here, should not be missed.

I paid 5 pounds for this album (about $10 Canadian) and it is easily one of my favourite Radiohead albums and definately worth the money. Lyrically, I think it is their best. I'd say it is their most accessible, I've listened to it more than 10 times and haven't come close to tiring of it. I was NOT expecting an album like this either, which is typical of Radiohead.

I'd give it about a 5 out of 10.

Do you think is even worst than Pablo Honey?

I thought Pablo Honey was a good start for them, because the only way they could go after that one, was going up.

What I can see on this one is that is their most melodic album to date maybe, and also can be the most accesible one in my opinion. It is not the best album ever, but it is pretty decent, at least that's what I think of it.
