New music is going to come, and I can't wait to hear it.

What I would like to see is this: A skin on the Spotify player (or Pandora or whatever) that makes it look like you're playing a vinyl record. You would see a mechanical arm go into a jukebox, pull out the record, place it on the turntable, and the stylus arm would slowly move across the record while the turntable spins at 33 1/3 (or 45) rpm. Tracks would be at their correct place in the album order, so if you go to track four, that's where the needle would go.

That's my Christmas wish for the world. That and that all the children would sing a song of peace and harmony.

I also want the boundary between hip-hop and other genres to completely dissolve. I also want a band to bring back rock-rap, like Rage Against The Machine, but with a really amazing flow and genius lyricism. A rock-rap-renaissance.

An Ezra Koenig solo album that is amazing!

I would love as much Tallest man On Earth as possible... But it would be so great if he shocked the world not by going electric or rock or something, but by beefing up like beautiful, droney, ambient backdrops to his music which perhaps explode into walls of beautiful black metal walls of sound. That would be cool. But whatever.

Death Grips release either an unplugged album or just do something impossible...like count to infinity collectively as a band.

I'd like a great, amazing band to arrive like Nirvana or somebody that sorta galvanizes some new awesome cultural movement. Sorta like what joyofdivision said.

I'd like to have a girlfriend. But whatever.

I hope Arcade Fire will release a live album or Win Butler will release a solo album. I don't necessarily care if Arcade Fire's next work is the best yet as long as it's good. Have you noticed the albums always have a three year span?

Also post-rock albums that don't just deliver another unimaginative crescendo-based GYBE records but rather are influenced by Tortoise or something that we don't know about yet.

I've seen reports that he's playing new songs at festivals and he's simply cutting the fat now (off his claim of having recorded 50+ songs since Voodoo). I'll be seeing him in October so I can report back on any new songs. I'm hoping it will be out this year or the next... he seems to have cleaned up and looks healthy again.

As a side note, I'm actually quite happy with the MBV, Daft Punk, and Boards of Canada 'comebacks', and should be satiated for some time. m b v is still one of my top 5 for the year.
