Yay! Glad I don't have to try and squeeze it all in tonight. When is the new deadline? Looks like I'll be able to listen to the foreign language albums after all, if I can find them.

I've made a checklist of all of the nominees in order for me to keep track of what I still need to listen to over the next week and a half.

The list is sorted alphabetically by artist; I won't specify each nomination, except for best album and best song. Also, since Jhereko already linked to the music videos and user-created work, I won't include them here (nor lifetime achievement).

I was going to post a big long list here, but it got too cumbersome so I switched to excel early on. Here are images instead, which should make it more compact, but I can send anyone the excel itself if they want it. I also didn't do a break down for each category... you can check out the nominations thread or the actual ballot if you want that. The idea here was more to have a list of what was nominated all in one place, regardless of which category or how many times each work was nominated.

For the record, it's 70 albums and 50 songs that you need to listen to if you're a completist!

Cool, too bad I missed the first round, and I am disappointed by the significant lack of Savages, F*** Buttons and Melt-Banana, but at least Julia Holter made it everywhere.

I nominated Wu Tang originally, but now I'm really hoping Belle and Sebastian take it. It's a cant lose really (except for Swans... Sorry, I don't really like them very much.)

Good list of nominees. Love to see the support for Torres even if I really don't consider that a folk album at all, and given Worst Album basically seems like another version of Most Overrated (we're all too harsh). Will get those choices to you Jher Bear and Kateryn eventually

Mmm ... it's alright. Now I can at least listen through the female solo artists this time through, I wasn't gonna but this is a sign.

If you don't touch the options then it won't count it. You can tell if you have because you'll see a ranking to the right of the category.

Okay so here's the ballot for voting in the second round and deciding the winners.

I mention it in the first page there but just to repeat myself: You must rank all nominees if you are going to vote in a category. You can skip categories but if you want to vote in one you must have heard all nominees so you are able to rank them.

So that means obviously you might wanna catch up on a few of the nominees you haven't heard (I know I will be). I'll be linking music videos and user created albums/songs.

If anyone has a fave of theirs that they know might be hard to track down (stuff under Metal, Jazz, Avant-Garde in particular) if they could provide a link it'd be incredibly useful and would obviously give that lesser known stuff a chance to be found.

Voting closes at this point on Feb 1st - so 2 weeks. We might extend the date if people want more time to catch up on the nominees.
