When I was listening to the indie music station, the one song my wife (a girl of the '90s) really got into was "I Love It" by Icona Pop. I feel like there must be an early Decemberists song you can throw in there too... how about "July, July" or "The Infanta." Also, for classic non-mainstream pop, I advocate "Care of Cell 44" by the Zombies.

I remember there being a happy music thread before but it was like two years ago and I can't find it so, as the terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible techno-Nickelback cover band Imagine Dragons once said, "welcome to the new age".

So I've been seeing this girl lately who likes mix-CD's and wants me to introduce her to "music she's never heard of", but all she really listens to is bubblegum pop from the 90's.
