I loved El Camino but this is just... bleh

I'm just giving you a hard time. I actually agree. And no worries, I took 4 years of French in high school and I can hardly understand it, can read it a little better, wouldn't dare try to write it.

sounds like they ripped off some old records they found in their dads garage. so not sure why people think its a departure for them.

It's basically just like most of Danger Mouse's (I'm assuming it's Danger anyway) work from the last five years. Broken Bells, Portugal, Gnarls Barkley.

I love it, but I can understand other people hating it.

It's a departure from their previous sound but still sounding like The Black Keys. I'm not in love with the song, but it's definitely an "OK" song

I feel like the little electronic sounds cheapens the melody, especially when it's being played over the vocals. Maybe if they kind of switched back and forth so the vocals could alone carry the melody for parts it'd be better.

I think it's a lot different from the usual Black keys song, but isn't a bad song.
