I love architecture. Though I'm not an architect, I studied it for a while. I used to live in New York, and I could literally take a walk anywhere and be totally stunned by some building. I know Rome is awesome for that too.

A few of my favorite buildings in NYC are the American Radiator Building and 570 Lexington Ave.

I haven't spent a ton of time in Rome, but my favorite building is Borromini's San Carlo. The US has lots of Renaissance and Gothic revival, but Baroque-style is extremely rare, so that's what interested me the most about European architecture.

My favorite architect (though honestly it's hard to even call him an architect) is Buckminster Fuller, best known for inventing the geodesic dome, but he also designed other buildings, cars, maps, all kinds of stuff. Santiago Calatrava is my favorite active architect.

I don't know much about architect. but I love to stop on the street and watch interesting or beautiful buildings. When I go into a different country usually I walk around slowly in the streets to watch the buildings. They fascinate me somehow.
Italy is definitely one of the greatest places I have ever been to. The love of everything beautiful and artistic shines through everything there.

Probably my favourite style is secession. It's very feminine, and artistic. If I could choose one house I could live in it would be Victor Horta's House in Brussels.

I'm interested in architecture. I've taken the Chicago architecture tour in the past and plan on doing it again this summer. I've also toured a lot of buildings in Detroit (my home town area) and believe it or not, there is a great deal of interesting architecture there too.

I've also being reading a great deal about Frank Lloyd Wright lately. Interesting life and didn't realize all he went though in his lifetime. (Being broke, martial affair, house being burnt down (twice) and people murdered there, etc.)

Yeah, Chicago has so many great buildings. Chicago fire was a tragedy, but at the same time a fortune for architecture. Its skyscrapers are like modern castles, I think. Sooner or later I'll get there.

My wife is an interior design major, so she's nuts about architecture for the most part. Everything I know I've learned from her. Before her, I would've had no knowledge of people like Frank Gehry or I.M. Pei or whoever.

Also, I think there is a deep link between Music and Architecture. Did you ever think about it? 😄
