I can't think of my favorite hundred albums yet, my top 100 chart would probably be about the hundred albums i listened between these later years which instead of listen to just a song in it, listen the whole album. Maybe with a top 20 i would me more selective in the choices :)

You could start with a top 20, that'd be interesting too 😄

I'm more into listening to a band, get to know their names and the history behind the songs etc, so i want bands/artists with consistent work. But i will check here and there some of the top charted 00's albums too at the same time.

Thanks for the suggestion, i'm not into rap by now but enjoy some rap mix like Gorillaz does. Demon Days is definitely among my top 10 albums.

If you're new to Joanna Newsom,Arcade Fire I'd advice just checking any album on the charts here u can't go wrong starting from there just exploring the top 50.

Currently listen to Sufjan Stevens Illinois. Not attracted me that much by first, maybe with more listening, and thanks benpaco, i'll check it out later

If you haven't heard DCFC yet, I'd recommend them and Bloc Party specifically if those are the things you're into. Also Ramona Falls you'd like but aren't as well known or easy to track down as either of them.

BTW, i heard Strokes , that's totally what im looking forward to, all their albums are good ,(Comedown Machine is my 2nd favorite behind Is This It). I'm too lazy to press the quote button. Anyhow, I'm not expecting a presumably indie lover to even like the Swans, but it's always worth a try.

I guess The Dodos, The Books, Carissa's Wierd, The Antlers, The Microphones, Boris (90s too), Broken Social Scene, Animal Collective, Panda Bear, The White Stripes, Klaxons, Wilco, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart would be more "conventional" picks more suited to post-00s indie (with a few anomolies to shape interest too).
