Actually New Zealand wildlife consists largely of flightless birds, such as the Kiwi, Kakapo, Moa (extinct)

New Zealand has more species of flightless birds (including the kiwis, several species of penguins, and the takahe) than any other country. wiki quote

I just assumed it flew because all parrots can fly. Except for the Kakapo.

I used to handle Hyacinth Macaws (beautiful birds) wchich are actually the largest of the Macaws. But yes, the Kakapo is the heaviest parrot.

Now, if you see a 3 1/2 foot tall Hyacinth, and they CAN fly, then be afraid. But then, you don't live in Brazil.

I would love to see New Zealand. That is where they filmed the Lord Of the Rings movies.

Are you serious or joking?

I've owned and trained very large Macaw parrots, some were 3 feet tall. But yes, one must be careful with them because they can do some damage.

.

Serious we have the worlds largest parrot, that's it and they aren't dangerous. there is nothing dangerous here, no snakes or crocodiles or tigers or anything

I know that Australia is very dangerous, even Steve Irwin couldn't survive it. I just assumed New Zealand was the same.

If you have a parrot that large it could snatch children and fly them away. Not to mention dogs, cats etc.

Has anyone captured this parrot on video? I would love to see it because I like birds.

🤣 they're not really like that

Like I said...you'd be surprised. I came here with an outsiders point of view. I was born and raised in Sweden but my wife is from this here little town a bit outside of Chicago so we decided to settle here. I come from a tiny little country on the outskirts of Europe but this here is a seriously small place. That said, I enjoy it here.

I lived in Chicago for a while. NORTH part of town. I wouldn't advise anyone wondering around the south side at night. The outlying areas of Chicago are very nice IMO.
