The soundtrack to Ratchet and Clank 2 is amazing.

Very techno-electronica yet quite accessible.

It's funny, when I listen back to these tracks, they remind me of artists like John Talabot, The Field, Boards of Canada and Factory Floor.

^ heh i really loved Jade Empire, probably more than KOTOR tbh. just something about its atmosphere was always intriguing to me. and there were very cool enemies in it

dont specifically remember the soundtrack though.. but im sure if id hear it another blast of nostalgia would hit me

Now this is a great game. Not like that watered-down version of Banjo-Kazooie. And yeah, the soundtrack is stellar as well.

I really like the Bioshock in game soundtracks. I'm going to try to eventually round up all of the licensed songs from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s that they used in order to have the complete soundtracks for all three games. The soundtracks sold separately from the games don't include the licensed songs.

Pretty sure there's already a thread for this. Meh.

Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas soundtracks are my favourite (the background music fits so well with the atmosphere). The radio stations are also cool but it's more the background music that gets me.

While I tend to feel that soundtracks work best with whatever they're soundtracking, a few of my favourites are American Mcgee's Alice (a majorly underrated game in general, but that's for another forum), Metroid Prime and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Currently Sony Computer Entertainment launch games with great original soundtracks. The best examples are Journey, Heavy Rain, God Of War series, Uncharted series or Motorstorm Apocalypse.

In the past Japanese RPGs had the power.
