ABBEY ROAD of course.

Also, Meddle by Pink Floyd. I remember sitting in my car listening to Echoes for the first time and thinking, this is unbelievable!

Other more recent albums that blew me away on first listen were Trouble (Ray Lamontagne), A Rush of Blood to the Head (Coldplay), O by Damien Rice, and Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon.

Remember when I was younger going on the annual family
Holidays my dad used to create a mix of songs we all liked for the car journeys there and back. Very varied I might add! Must ask if he still has them somewhere. Some cracking stuff ranging from
Elo to tom Jones.

It would be interesting to hear any of the records I got into between ages 12 and 14. They're such a part of my experience that I don't really remember a time before I knew those albums. For example:

Why on earth bother to "broaden someone's horizons"? It's something people consistently do, even if some do it in smaller steps, on here. Remember, you come first here. They can be left to their own devices. If thou hast to advice others to relisten to other albums they felt didn't appeal to them at first, why not take two from your 5/100 ratings? You may find a new favorite album. 😄

I'm saying you should give it another listen. I'm not saying that you should like it; you shouldn't like anything that you don't want to. I just think a second listen to the album perhaps after listening to this might prove fruitful and change your mind about the album.
