Yeah, it's kind of hard to justify voting for Goswell in a best ever guitarist tournament when she's not even the best in her band. Love Slowdive to death and I think she's great, but it doesn't seem right, especially since someone as awesome as Adrian Belew.

I'm as big a Slowdive and Mojave 3 fan as anyone, but Goswell doesn't come close to Belew.

Even though Neil does nearly all of the melody work, that doesn't mean Rachel isn't important either. With her guitar parts - even though it's nearly all strumming chords underneath indecipherable distortion - she gives the songs that extra push during the chorus. Belew is definitely an interesting guitarist, managing to get a lot of odd sounds with a guitar is pretty inventive, but it's not really my style. Vote goes to Rachel.
