I respect Ian Williams and your choice Gowi but I love love love Thurston Moore as a guitarist. A little too much.

"hide"

🤣

Props to Gowi for the Ian Williams nom. I've loved his work with Don Cab and Battles. It's a shame he's drawn such tough competition in round 1.

I been lucky enough to shoot both in action and both were spectacular to watch perform live.

I'll be voting for Thurston because he was totally badass the times I saw him play.

Pretty sure Alex was joking. But no, you're Not Alone, Jehreko! 😁

Ian Williams (though I'm not sure I voted right D:). Lucky enough to see Battles live a few years back (before Tyondai Braxton left) and he is a sight to see. He very beautifully incorporates a showy playing style into the song to a point where it becomes essential.

Also Sonic Youth's 90s output was great - every single album. I can't be the only one who thinks that?

Another really hard matchup, but have to give the edge to Thurston, even if he didn't end Sonic Youth after 1988 as he should have. ;)

Yeah honestly they became more of a singles band for me after that point.

Ian Williams. Battles is one my favorite (relatively) new bands, and Don Cab is essential math rock. Pittsburgh is all about their Don Cab!

Ian Williams is impeccable and one of the most influential guitarists of the alternative music scene. I think his obvious talent is known.

You can't have Lee without Thurston.

Very difficult but went with Ian because he needs the support. Also, he was in Don Caballero as well, so you should put that there.
