My first album was actually 'Mozart - Concertos for Piano & Orchestra'. I now know that mans melodies like I know the house I live in.

Champ by Tokyo Police Club was the first album I ever listened to straight through. I remember thinking before that that entire albums couldn't be good and that no ever listened to albums.

I'm having a hard time remembering for sure, but Weird Al's Dare to Be Stupid might be the first album I bought myself (on cassette).

If we're talking about the first album I heard, it would have been something my parents put on from around the time I was born (e.g., Billy Joel's The Stranger or Pink Floyd's Animals). As for an album I actually remember listening to, the earliest one I can think of is Jimmy Buffet's Songs You Know By Heart, which was a beach trip staple. The first album I actually owned was Bon Jovi's Slippery When When Wet, in mix tape form, courtesy of my baby sitter. The first album I bought myself was Weird Al's Even Worse.

I'm taking this as the first album I consciously and intentionally listened to all the way through as one piece of music, and that would be

7th grade, dad was big into college rock in his undergraduate years and insisted only college rock artists made albums that didn't have filler so if I was going to try out listening to things as albums, I should start with the best.
