Some of my favorite albums from my teen years (or earlier) have lasted: Nevermind, Morning Glory, The Monkees, Purple, all the Beatles albums

Some have not: The Bends, Frogstomp, Ten

I'm not sure I've taken any deep lessons from this. It just is what it is.

I definitely experience boredom with my favorite albums…but they don't become any less impressive despite that. I don't listen to Elton John all that much at all yet he remains one of my favorite artists, Pet Sounds almost never cracks my rotation, etc.

In 30 years, oh wow.. that's quite a while.. We don't have access to tons of music from, say, ~50 years ago.. It's just tough to fathom what our old favorites will sound in contrast to when music has evolved another few decades. Like, just imagine convincing someone to listen to something 75 years old when they have access to modern, more relatable, sonically 'interesting' music. I'm sure we will keep our tastes, though I could imagine it challenging to endear a new generation to them

Is this supposed to be a trick question or something? Of course I don't know how long. The only thing I do know is that they'll certainly be my favourites until I find others that top them...and then, the cycle will begin all over again. Overall, it really just depends on where I am in my life, and what I'm getting involved in.

My No.1 hasnt change for 2 years now! And it has only changed one (It used to be my No.2) But I think in general my Top 5 albums in my chart wont change much in the future. Once you have a connection so deep to select an album in your top 5 position in your chart, it make take a magical event to bring another album to a No.1 position.

But who knows, this might happen anytime

While I certainly hope I'll have some new albums enter my top 10 eventually, I don't know how likely it is. Tastes change though, and I might have a completely different set of favourites in 10 years.

It depends. I'm not really keen on, say, ITAOTS anymore, whereas I still love Pet Sounds, which were both high on my first top 100.
