I've been listening to Black Messiah and, yes!
that's a nice album even if it's not exactly my cup of tea I admit that it has something...kinda of "neverboring" and charming songs 😄

Surprised at how much I enjoyed this considering how little his last 2 albums did for me. But I've only given each of the 3 a listen each so I'll keep my pleb mouth shut.

Pom Pom rules and since it's a relative dark horse has the benefit of not engendering a backlash like Benji has. Easily one of my faves of the year. Ariel Pink's a genius. He owns the '10s. An upset here would taste so good. 😈

Piñata and Benji are honestly no brainers for AOTY. Delusional as always, I was kind of hoping for a surprise appearce of Dean Blunt's Black Metal too, but that ain't gonna happen. 🙁

Well, it was inevitable this one got on. Really good album though, so I have no complaints.

As for the rest of the list Pinata will be there for sure, but I wouldn't count RTJ2 making it as a definite. It'll be interesting to see, could go either way.

Which means no Benji, To Be Kind, Pom Pom, Salad Days, St. Vincent or You're Dead!

Interesting list overall 😄 Of course, I could be wrong with my picks, but I can't see either of them not being there.
