This. My favorite Fall track !

I haven't voted yet because the 2003 team is delicious. Radio Dept Unicorms Manitoba <3 <3 <3 and The Shins (early love affair).

However the 1980 albums are post-punk favorites, and I prefer the singles selection.

Will sit on this a bit longer.

Personally speaking I find this a really even match-up - both have albums I adore as well as those I couldn't give a frig about, and having never heard Califone before I'm going to have to give that a spin before I ultimately make my call. So far though what's tipping it for me is Norm's inclusion of Totally Wired, which like most Fall stuff in the early 80s is a work of unmitigated genius.

Will have to do some listening and come back to you, but 1980 just tipping it ATM.

Wow, I actually got some votes. Legimately surprised. And lots of kind words, admittedly against a monster of an opposing team. Well at least I hope we have some sort of honorary awards at the end of the tourney, and I definitely have a lock on the "Most Flamboyantly Gay team" award.

I may have to flip a coin. Saoirse found away to my heart with those Califone and Radio Dept albums, but Norman's team is ridiculous and consistently stuff I love.

Hm, 80's pretty great, but it's a bit more of a one note team than 03 this time. Plus Unicorns is great, and I love to see The Rapture on the singles team. Leaning towards 03 (which isn't totally shocking, wouldn't mind 03 winning the whole thing, frankly, just a great great year)

I'm surprised 2003 is losing here (by so much). It has some of the finest selections of the tourney thus far including Califone's Quicksand/Cradlesnakes which is easily one of the best albums ever released. That's also not to forget other brilliant choices like Shins, Unicorns, etc. I was listening to both Unicorns and Islands the other day.

Gonna be hard to vote against Radio Dept. and Unicorns, but I feel like Norm's team is probably more consistently good.

Leaning 03 just because Who Will Cut Our Hair is one of my absolute favorite albums ever, but gonna take some time to decide.

Fuck, I saw Saoirse's picks and thought my vote was definitely going that way, then I scrolled down to Norman's which are equally good if not better...

Leaning towards Norman and 1980 but very very tight, need to do some listening.
