It was epic. Countless lives were lost in the Hollywood-worthy levels of destruction, but the tournament continues without even a moment of consideration for their poor souls. The chaos was so vast that generations will pass before the shock waves completely dissipate from the day-to-day lives of BEA forumgoers.

Oh... and 1993 wins.

Some people would argue it's the weak link on my team but I think it's actually the second best, behind RHP I of course which is my #1. Really amazing chamber pop, in my opinion the high bar for the genre for sure.

I pretty much expected this kind of power match from these two. Jesus both teams are some of the best so far and I honestly don't know which way to go. Will return after much deliberation

Well I suppose the next round decides if I'll sell out for the last match vs 93, or just go with a full on suicide team with Slovenian/Sudanese obscure picks (read: personal favs).

As for this match, I still haven't voted. Still actually haven't heard Tindersticks, will see how it goes. Currently 93 has a slight edge, as I prefer the singles (as perfect as they could get) and there's 36 Chambers, which I like more than anything on the 95 team.

This matchup is just ridiculous, frankly. Seven of these albums quite quite easily be in my Top 100, and there isn't a bad album among the bunch (although I'm not in love with Souvlaki). Then, of course, each of the teams contains one of the two albums I've obsessed over most in my life (1993 with 36 Chambers, '95 with Clouds Taste Metallic). '93 then has two of the very best hip-hop songs ever on its singles team, and three other very good choices, but I think '95 is more consistent in terms of singles (seriously, not one thing there that I don't completely adore). Going with '95, on the basis of that singles team and the fact that four of its albums could be in my Top 100, as opposed to the measly three that 1993 could muster (even though 36 Chambers almost pulled me in the other direction by the sheer force of just how much I love it). But kudos fellas on such a great fight. This is Ward vs. Gatti, Leonard vs. Hearns, the fucking Thrilla in Manilla.

Liquid Swords! Mobb Deep! Eponymous Elliot Smith! Oh my. Really all it took was Liquid Swords - that is the greatest rap album perhaps of all time.

Again wowsies. That 95 team is strong top to bottom (although the albums slightly outweigh the still-very-good singles) and has my favorite album among both teams, but that 93 team is absolutely flawless. Even better than the near-perfect team presented last time. Nobody wants to know your reason why ( 🫵 ) but Im voting for 93 without hesitation.
