what teams "deserve" mcdavid? buffalo for shamelessly tanking? I get the whole oilers are a laughing stock thing but hey luck of the balls.

doubt draisaitl gets moved. don't see how hed get anything near value and really we can just move him to the wing (which I was always an advocate of anyway).

imo the worst part about this whole winning the draft thing is that it likely buys management more time to be incompetent. rebuild #5

The Oiler fans deserve it, but management certainly doesn't. It's like they've been screwing up for years, and they not get this bailout. I hope they don't F it up.

i'm really not sure who to pick this year. it's a pretty open ballpark. i'm expecting one of nashville, st. louis, new york, montreal, or tampa bay to come out ahead. it's weird to see los angeles out of the picture. i probably shouldn't write off pittsburgh or chicago too quickly, but i'm not really expecting much there. ok...so my prediction is new york over st. louis in five. nashville and tampa bay will be eliminated in conference finals. oh...but ottawa's been on quite a tear. ok. i suck at this.

flames vs canucks is the apocalypse

but the sens are in it!! cannot believe it what a run im pumped. but the oilers could draft hanifin and rep the noah name which would be pretty cool I guess.

I did my annual playoff predictions last night and picked Nashville vs Washington final which wont happen but would just be the most fun if it did. cheering for Dubnyk too think they could knock the blues out if we're lucky. these playoffs are looking to be fun besides the pacific 😉

Trade deadline around the corner, and moves are happening all over.

What was Columbus thinking? Clarkson has one of the worst contracts in recent memory. Yes, he's a warm body that can actually play, but Horton's cap hit could be buried on the LTIR.

Just getting caught up here. Several predicted that this would be a down year for the Red Wings. (Currently 3rd in the Atlantic). They've lost too many shootouts, if they'd even won half, they'd be in first place. They are playing great at home and Z and Pavel are playing more this season and spending less time on the injured list.

I hope they can keep it up. Go Wings!

haha well in fairness im certainly not the only one who predicted the flames to falter.

and yeah lowe is basically just a figurehead at this point, and I don't think getting rid of him has an actual affect on the team atm but still. the fact that hes still here after everything is ridiculous. and then buchberger gets rehired in the farm team. ludicrous.

That's what everyone down here seems to think... there a few believers, but most think it's too soon in the rebuild.

And McTavish gave a prime example of how not to lead during that news conference. "It's the players' fault, the coach's fault, it's not my fault; I've only been here 2 years."

Nah Eakins wont get canned yet. Don't know how I feel about him really. He's made some really bonehead moves but really so do most coaches. kinda feel like sticking with one guy is a good idea.. but really stop playing Schultz 21 minutes a game please.

and holy hell our 4th line is insanely good this year. Boyd Gordon is an absolute beast, and Joensuu and Hendricks have been great too. Really surprised me, hopefully this continues.
