Actually, what itsit is saying makes sense to me. Dylan's voice fits his lyrics. The average person can sing along with Dylan's songs and it doesn't sound like a train wreck. I haven't any Dylan on my chart but it's not because of his voice being bad.

both Kanye and Sufjan used it incredibly effectively last year in some amazing songs, and I think in general its okay to use when you're making obvious that you are using it and not trying to deceive people into thinking you can stay in key when you can't.
