Great interview, btw, I love how you responded to his belligerence with sarcasm and passive aggression. I laughed out loud at the part where you offered to call 911 and he was just screaming, "No Cops!"

Yeah, I'm really interested in seeing how he presents himself. After all those years as the character Colbert, it's easy to forget his other comedic work.

Ah yes. I remember that one. Colbert is really incredible with awkward interviews, not that he didn't usually create the awkward tone.

It was that interview that convinced me that Colbert is such a great interviewer and because of that, I think he'll kill it with the Late Show

Makes me think of this interview Stephen Colbert had with Diane Keaton albeit in a different way.

Similar in that he had a horrible interviewee who was giving him totally nothing and he made something great out of it

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how the worst experiences can really bring out the best in my writing.

At first I just thought he was an asshole, but he's clearly deeply depressed to the point of self-destruction.
