2010 got my vote, but these are two very very good teams. It certainly deserves to be this close.

2010 is a vastly superior year to 1984, but the team here is not representative of the great diversity of music that came out that year and doesn't tickle any of my aesthetic fancies, so i'm giving the vote to 1984 despite (gag) Arvo Part's presence

2010 has a lot of stuff I like, but only New Amerykah really stands out personally. Those singles are quite lovely though. 1984 just has a lot higher highs, and the inclusion of Pink Frost likely clinches it, easily a top-10 all time single. Might do some re-listening but likely going 84, sorry The Squish Davey.

I'm right over here. Why can't you see me? I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the team you're voting for. I just keep dancing on my own.

Here's a last-ditch attempt to win some converts:

Deep down in the place where music makes you happiest.

My team has SO MUCH JOANNA NEWSOM IN IT.

"You may just possibly detect from my voice that I am Irish. And now I leap forward in time."
(My all-time #2)

Feel these vibrations. Feel them vibrate higher. Touch the branes. Kiss the plinth.

Well I mean obviously.

Thanks Brandon, you're a sweetie-pants.

Vote for me and I'll make you a squishtape.

Purple Rain is (almost) the best thing here, but I still don't get a whole lot out of Metallica or Arvo Pärt. Both solid teams nonetheless though I think I'm going with 2010 by a hair. Have One On Me clinches it

1984, duh.

I love that Mercury fielded an 84 team for me that completely feels like mine. Thanks, Mercury!!! You RAWK!

Good thing that Mercury filled in for me too because I'm currently on a Qigong retreat in Cali with zero internet. Peace all & wish me luck!

I got a bit anxious as soon as I saw that '84 team. Happy to see how close this is though.

Perhaps next round?

Can I buy a vote with a bit of pathetic begging?

Both are really solid, consistently good teams. Went with 1984 in the end because if I was forced to be stuck with one of these teams, I'd likely go with that (would miss New Amerykah II and 'Dancing On My Own', though).
