I'd be up for Tarkovsky, but like I said in an earlier post, I'd much rather have a poll for The Coen Brothers or Ingmar Bergman. Slightly vaster, more evenly-considered filmographies.

After the animated poll would be great 😄 I'll need a break while I'm in school anyway.

Yeah I'd be completely up for coordinating with Hayden. We could even make some sort of schedule so that way (when we do decide to do a comprehensive and long filmography like Kurosawa) we can give people more time to explore.

i'm partial to Tarkovsky because he has a large enough filmography to occupy a week or two without being overwhelming or rushing and the quality is generally accepted as spread fairly evenly across it. i think Kurosawa and Bergman would require much longer poll times for people to give reasonable responses, and since the big Best Ever Film polls probably don't wanna be put on hold for like a month to accomodate people trying to dip their feet in to those two huge filmographies, I think we should wait to do them until the decade polls are done for BEF. i don't know i'm probably a bad person to be weighing in 'cause I really can't bring myself to watch more than one movie in an afternoon ever so all these parallel polls about things i haven't seen really stretches my leisure time thin.

Oh wow... I'm also in favor of Ingmar Bergman. The greatest of all time in my book.

Pixar would be cute and all but not nearly as interesting. Pixar could have its own discussion on the side; I just think the "Let's Rank" series should stick to directors. Just my opinion.

Hitchcock would be epic as his filmography quite large, with lots of varying opinions on which one is the best. Tarkovsky would be around the same size as the Kubrick one but would have higher quality to chose from in my opinion. Kurosawa, Ozu, Godard, Altman, Lynch, Scorsese, Spielberg, Nolan, Coens, Wyler, Eastwood... I'm just rattling off the top of my head names with a versatile resume who may have enough widely seen films to make this interesting. This could be a great series; I've been silently waiting for the next one to show up. Glad someone brought it back to light.

I guess I missed the results being posted while my computer was down. Pleasantly surprised to see Paths of Glory make the top 5.

I would love to see a Let's Rank of Quentin Tarantino and David Fincher. Maybe the results will be obvious, but I love both of their work so much.
