One of my favorite Scott Weiland performances, which I listen to every holiday season:

Theres so many good songs on those first 2 albums. And the fact they all sound just as good or even better in acoustic versions, is a real testament to the song writing abilities of the DeLeo brothers, and Weiland's ability to convey emotion with conviction. A sad day for alternative rock music.

I wasn't at all shocked when I found out, but sad nonetheless. STP was one of my favorite bands
as a teenager. I still think Core and Purple are damn good albums.

Yeah, me as well. Dude had some serious things to deal with. Addiction is brutal. But he made some great music to leave behind. Rest in peace, Scott.
